Taipei, Taiwan (Merxwire) - t. Hub Startup Carnival 2021 was held on November 12th , 2021 at the t. Hub. Hisn-pei WU, Deputy Commissioner, Department of Economic Development, Taipei City Government, attended the event to welcome outstanding startups, teams and angel investors from various countries to invest in Taipei, take Taipei's innovation opportunities to the world, and jointly promote the economic recovery. The rise of startups and the power of innovation will drive the global market and create blue ocean business opportunities after the pandemic.
A total of 20 startups and teams and some international investors attended the event. More than 500 attendees participated in the event, marking a grand event. The event attracted more than 1,000 people in total on that day, marking a brilliant recovery after the lock-down.
The startup carnival kicked off with a speech from Hisn-pei WU, Deputy Commissioner, Department of Economic Development, Taipei City Government. WU pointed out that Taipei City is actively introducing international innovation and entrepreneurship resources to assist new ventures in accelerating their growth, and it has successfully assisted many new ventures successfully go global and achieve high growth. Through the International matchmaking and business showcase, 20 startups and international investors have been successfully matched, highlighting Taiwan's potential for innovation and entrepreneurship and polishing the reputation as the "Digital Innovation and Technology Island". This event also brings AR/VR technologies and sports AI technology experience to the table such as oomii, Motive Realities, advocating the vision of a smart city and the real experience of cross-border online communication, creating a first-hand experience of the new "normal" of international cooperation after the pandemic.
t. Hub continues to create excellent business opportunities for Taiwan's new ventures. Even though the COVID-19 is still severe in other parts of the world, many international corporations still actively attended the event; for example, Judy Chen, Technology Accelerating Officer of the Canadian Embassy in Taiwan; Giuseppe Izzo, the General Manager Taiwan and Vice President of Asia Pacific STMicroelectronics; Boren Shen, the Deputy General Manager of Hongcheng Venture Capital Investment; Bruce Bateman, Director of Lite-On Technology Innovation Department; Luca Di Fiore, Product Director of ADATA Technology; Sascha Pallenberg, Director of Global Digital Transformation of Daimler Automotive Group (Mercedes-Benz); Volker Heistermann, Managing director of Mosaic Venture, Paolo Joseph Lising, founder of MillionDC.com, etc. have taken part in the panel.
t. Hub is one of the leading innovations and incubation parks in Taiwan. t. Hub is a BOT project jointly managed by the Taipei City Government and Honghui Group. It is Taiwan's first BOT project with an incubator, and it is also the largest innovation incubation base in Taiwan. The site is located in Neihu Science Park, with an area of 1.75 hectares and a cumulative investment of NT$ 6.77 billion, marking the largest innovation center in Taiwan. t.
